The North Brabant Museum 's Hertogenbosch (30 minutes) has a special Van Gogh exhibit in 2015. See and experience the Brabant Landscape of Vincent's early years and stay in a small family hotel near a typical Brabant town from Van Gogh's time and discover how this landscape inspired him to his first paintings. Admire his (dark) Brabant, but also his (lighter) French paintings in the Kröller Müller and sleep amidst his irises and sunflowers in our yard. Day 1: AM Visit to Nuenen

You will enter in the footsteps of Vincent and please feel free to take this literally. In the museum Vincentre we hear the stories about him and we read his stories about Nuenen where he lived and worked from 1883 to 1885. We get to know him as a man, and we see his development into a world famous painter. Then we go outside, where as many as 22 locations recall Van Gogh; 14 of them are sites that are painted or sketched by him. The remaining objects are statues or buildings of particular significance.

Day 1: PM (optional) Visit Den Bosch

The new Van Gogh presentation “The Story of Brabant” at The Noordbrabants Museum shows 11 paintings by Vincent from his Brabant period that tell the story of the origin of Vincent and his fascination with rural life

Tip: Visit the cathedral in Den Bosch St. Jan and dine in the Korte Put street with its cozy restaurants.

Day 2: Full day Kröller Müller Museum, Otterlo, visiting National Park De Hoge Veluwe.

The Kroller Muller Museum has the world's second largest Van Gogh collection. The highlight of his early Dutch period is the painting The Potato Eaters, that he made from a peasant family in Nuenen in May 1885.

This fact is commemorated in 2015 with a year-long of exhibitions and activities at various locations in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. The Van Gogh Year 2015, with the theme "125 years of inspiration ', the Kröller-Müller Museum presents the exhibition Van Gogh & Co. Across the collection There are over fifty paintings and drawings to be seen by Van Gogh and a multitude of works by other artists such as François Bonvin, Floris Verster, Odilon Redon, Henri Fantin-Latour, Paul Gabriel, Paul Cézanne, Adolphe Monticelli and Claude Monet.

Tip: Combine a visit to the Kröller Müller Museum with a bike ride on the free white bicycles in National Park De Hoge Veluwe.

Day 3: Visit the Gardens of Appeltern

Gardens and flowers were an important theme in the work of Vincent. In 2015 it will be exactly 125 years ago that Van Gogh died. Therefore, the festival in the Gardens of Appeltern 2015 will be a homage to the expressionist artist.
